It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Laura Ramsey, wife of William (Bill) Ramsey and mother of Elle, William (Billy) and James (Jimmy) Ramsey.  Laura left all of us far too soon, leaving a void that can never be filled.

Born on August 12, 1981, in Santa Rosa, California, Laura Rose Dole, was the daughter of Rodney and Kathleen Dole, and sister of Michael Dole. She grew up in Santa Rosa, attending Sequoia Elementary School and Maria Carrillo High School. She spent many summers at her family cabin in Lake Almanor, fishing, boating, golfing and sharing dinners with family. She grew up in a large extended family, treasuring time with her grandparents, aunts/uncles and many cousins. She forged deep connections with her family, friends, and her community.  

Laura attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and later went on to Whittier Law School, earning her JD in 2007. Prior to starting at Ross Family Law, Laura worked as an Associate Family Law Attorney for Whiting, Fallon, Ross & Abel. Leveraging her expertise as a Certified Family Law Specialist, she was promoted to Partner at the firm in 2015. She earned a certification in Negotiation from Harvard Law School in 2014. She was recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2013-2017 and as a Super Lawyer from 2018 - present; a designation reserved for the top 5% of attorneys. Her dedication and expertise in the field of law were admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Laura’s deepest affections were reserved for her family. She served as a devoted spouse to Bill and wholeheartedly embraced her role as mom to their three children, engaging in shared activities such as camping, Girl Scouts, golf, soccer practice, and dance classes. Laura, along with her husband Bill, cherished time spent with their children. Laura’s affection extended well beyond her immediate family; she held a profound love for her extended family and was instrumental in arranging gatherings that brought the family together, filling those occasions with her boundless joy, spark, and contagious laughter.

Laura is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Bill Ramsey, who she started dating in high school, her three children, Elle, Billy and Jimmy, her parents Rodney and Kathleen Dole, her brother Michael (Ana) Dole, her in-laws, William and Barbara Ramsey, her sister-in-law, Lia (Tad) Ramsey and her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
